  1. http://www.creativepro.com/story/feature/14527.html This should do the trick for you. Macintosh makes it real easy Then again, what you can also do is install OSX, and run her old applications (if she even needs them anymore) in Classic Mode.
  2. We've always been at war with Eastasia.
  3. Everything is showing up just fine to me with a quick lookthough a couple of threads.
  4. I go to a place in Ann Arbor called Amtech Computers. My Dad and I have built two machines with parts all bought from them.
  5. I use CuteNews.. amazingly easy to customize, took me like 3 minutes to install to an existing page. http://cutephp.com/ (Yeah, I think their site is under construction, but you can still download the script)

    Blogs ?

I guess if you write interesting enough stuff in your blog you might get more people to link to you... but I doubt it.
  7. What says that as people start swiching over to browsers like Firefox and the like that hackers and virus writers won't find vulnerabilities in those browsers and target them?
  8. I can't find anything about this on the Department of Homeland Security's website, are you sure the writer didn't make this up?
  9. Dreamweaver is way better than frontpage.
  10. You should be able to access your control panel as soon as you get your welcome e-mail, it will have instructions on how to do so. As for e-mail, I'm not sure. DNS propogation (swiching the domain name to TCH's servers) can take anywhere between 24 and 72 hours. I'm no expert, but I think that all e-mail sent to you, as long as you have the same account name on the TCH servers, will be caught by either your current server or TCH's, depending on whether the domain has propogated or not.
  11. Did a search on the forums, didn't find anything, so I thought I'd post it. http://web.langame.net/air/ Cutenews 1.3.1 is a real easy to use news script. It only took me about 15 minutes to install on existing pages without making major changes in layout! I'm not entirly sure how secure it is, but I havn't read anything suggesting that it isn't. I'd recommend it if you want something simple, and don't want to go as far as something like Movable Type.
  12. Maybe I'm thinking of something else, but I thought TCH doesn't allow streaming video because of the processor load.
  13. Well, it got me going anyway. But now, its only running the php and not doing the SSI. Is it possible to do this? --Edit-- Ok, I think I have it figured out. I just need to make a few changes to pages so that I'm using php calls for the navigation bar rather than SSI, that way I don't have to worry about getting both. Thanks for the help Don!
  14. I'm trying to get my .shtml files to act as .php files because I want to use SSI and php in the same document. I remember something about being able to do this through my .htaccess file, but I havn't been able to find something written in language that I can figure out to be able to do it.
  15. Anyone still missing one? I still have 3 invites left.
  16. Its working fine for me right now.
  17. Ahh, but I have to read the whole article to get the whole story...
  18. In sweden (and in most european community i think) the word is that most spam comes from the U.S. Wonder which is the truth? http://blogs.officezealot.com/marc/archives/000400.html Well, according to this, I was wrong. Interesting. I'd think the US would have more strict spam laws than this. --Edit-- Even better: http://www.sophos.com/spaminfo/articles/dirtydozen.html
  19. The problem with this is that most spam e-mail probably doesn't come from servers within the United States. How could we enforce it? All putting our e-mail addresses on a big list is going to do is open the door for some hacker to steal 3/4 of the e-mail addresses in the US and send spam to it from some country that ends in "stan".
  20. I got a virus today from a computer pretending to be from a Symantec e-mail address. I love Norton and it's e-mail scanning.
  21. I run one site hosted here and one site hosted at iPower. I love TCH. iPower provides perfectly valid service for a resonable price, they do a good job. However, you have to know what you're doing to get things done. Their knowledge base is way out of date, and they have nothing like the Family forums here provide. iPower is good, but TCH is great! Welcome to the family.
  22. That's simply not necessary. I hate to break it to ya, but I'm pretty sure you're in the minority with regard to weekends. Most people look forward to them and enjoy them. No reason for you to make your comments when someone is extending such a kind gesture. Humor alert. You don't watch Star Trek much do you?
  23. Add me to the text editor club. I tried out Dreamweaver once, and ended up writing all the code into it anyway, hardly using the WYSIWYG editor.
