I'm beginning to notice a high occurrence of hits from ip addresses that trace back to Google proxies. I'm thinking these must be bad bots :clapping: and should be banned? I'd be happy to hear what anyone has to say. Thanks.

If the bad bots are hitting badly on your site, it is advisable to block their access to your site. There are two method that you can reduce the access of bad bots to your account, such as using a robots.txt file or blocking through .htaccess file.

Thanks Alex. I've banned them via htaccess. I'm thinking any "legitimate" source wouldn't be using a google proxy.

I hope :clapping:
