I was considering moving our site to TCH for hosting but wanted to know if you are able to copy the database for our forum over as well with the cPanel info?

In the past we have had problems relocating the database by having it time out when we were attempting to download it.

Welcome to the forums LMMCCTCO :)

You would have to take a backup of your database that can then be restored into a database here after you have the forum software installed.

I believe you could leave the backup you take on your existing host and have the techs transfer it if possible. Please open a ticket with the help desk (link above or in my signature) and one of the techs would be able to tell you for sure.

While I can assist in answering most of your hosting related questions, I am unable to answer questions about specifics relating to your account such as billing and server related issues. Should you need assistance in these areas, please contact our Help Desk or our many other options. Another good place to find answers is with our help pages, tutorials and movie tutorials.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was referred by newyorkmustangs.com and have already moved one of my sites to you and have been extremely pleased (snkypete.com). Our current host for our club's message board has had constant problems and unfortunately poor response times for customer service. We currently have an outstanding problem since Saturday without resolution and when a tech updates the ticket we are moved to the bottom of the queue for some strange reason....I did 10 years of help desk before moving to servers/networking and have never heard of that concept.

So I have members screaming at me, and my hands are tied short of finding another hosting option.
