  1. Hi there, I was having this same issue so I upgraded to the newest version of UFM and everything appears to be working now, EXCEPT that I'm not getting emails from the form: I get the "thanks.php" page but then no mail arrives... I've got it set up correctly and am using sendmail() - which is what I was using before I started getting the errors - but I get nothing. Is this something TCH might help me with? I've got two client sites that are having this problem and they're getting antsy. Thanks! ~Lindsey
  2. Yes, I'd like for the second domain name to point to the same content as the first domain. I purchased the credit for $19.95 to do this and it's currently set up and working so I'm not too worried about this, but I wasn't sure if there was a way to add the new domain to the same hosting plan and host different content there. (I've done this with other hosting companies; just wasn't sure if there was a way to do w/ TCH.) Thanks! ~Lindsey
  3. Hi all, I just registered a second domain name for a client and would like to be able to manage both domains through the same hosting account. Is this possible and if so, are there instructions for getting it set up? I ran a few searches and couldn't find anything in the FAQ so thought I'd start here. Thanks! ~Lindsey
  4. That worked perfectly - thank you all! ~Zee
  5. Hi all - So I have MT 3.35 installed for a client and everything seems to be working just fine, but for some reasn the posts show up on the category archive pages in ascending order. I do have the post order set to "descending" in the Weblog Display Settings section and the order seems to be correct on the blog's home page. However I need the archive pages to also displlay the posts in descending order. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing? I have a blog of my own set up this way (I believe it's an earlier version fo MT) and it doesn't have this problem. Suggestions? ~Zee
  6. Hi everyone, apologies if this is a repeat: I did some diving into old archives and didn't see anything that might help me with this issue. (Of course, I have a killer headache, so I'm sorry if I'm missing something obvious.) Anyway, I got the following error message when I tried to create a redirect: Apache detected an error in the Rewrite config. Syntax error on line 17 of /home/***/public_html/.htaccess.I_7mrQLIkUjKrDUMMbriiZA85tgyNI57: Missing directive at end-of-file Please try again. This is from my .htaccess file (site name and username replaced with generic name: ># -FrontPage- IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti* <Limit GET POST> order deny, allow deny from all allow from all </Limit> <Limit PUT DELETE> order deny, allow deny from all </Limit> AuthName www.domain.com AuthUserFile /home/username/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd AuthGroupFile /home/username/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp <IfModule mod_security.c> SecFilterEngine Off SecFilterScanPOST Off </IfModule> I just want to do a very simple redirect, where I'm redirecting from the domain name directly to a specific archive page on a blog; the address will look something like this: http://www.domain.com/blog/home/ Any ideas how I might get this done? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! ~Zee
  7. That worked like a charm. Thank you! ~Lindsey
  8. OK, this is probably a stupid question but where do I find the .htaccess file?
  9. Hi all, I've installed Movable Type for a client onto their Total Choice hosting account and I'm trying to install include some simple javascript in the main index template. Is there something I need to install to make the javascript work in Movable Type? I haven't had any trouble with the same script outside of MT. This is the error I'm getting: 406 Not Acceptable An appropriate representation of the requested resource /mt/mt.cgi could not be found on this server. And, oddly, I just tried to post the script I was using and it gave me the exact same error... What do I need to do here? Grateful for any suggestions! Thanks, Lindsey
  10. Thanks for your input, Bruce! Guess I'll just have to jump through Network Solutions' hoops. Grrr...
  11. Hi all, I have a bit of an odd question and I'm not exactly sure which forum section is correct so thought I'd start here. One of my clients has her hosting here at TCH, which I set up when I updated her website and etc. Everything is working great and all is well, except that I'm struggling to update the main contacts for her domain name registration through Network Solutions. The problem is that the site's previous host also registered the name and set himself up as the primary contact, and they've been less than easy to work with. Network Solutions, too, has been difficult and requires us to jump through all kinds of hoops to get a new contact added. So what I'm wondering is whether I can get her domain name registered through TCH and move the adminstration of it over here? I'm currently on the account as a technical contact and about all I can do right now is change the name servers. Anyway, I have no idea whether this is possible and if I have to jump through NS's hoops I will but wanted to check this first since my experiences with TCH has been great! Thanks! ~Lindsey P.S. On a completely and totally unrelated topic, does TCH offer PEAR support? If so, where can I find details about it? I'm having trouble locating the info I need in the FAQs and knowledge base. Thanks!
  12. Hi there - I'm wondering if there is a way to set someone up with limited access to a website's files and information? Basically, I want to create an account with limited access, so that another person can make changes to one or two different pages on the site but cannot make changes to everything. Is there a way to give limited access to the control panel? I'd love some suggestions. Thanks! ~Lindsey
  13. Hi all- Another question for you: the new website I just uploaded to www.rondelkennels.com propgated from its old webhost in about 12 hours and seems to be working just fine. However, my aunt, who has an AOL dial-up connection, still sees the old site's pages through AOL's browser. When she uses IE to access the site she can see the new design. I had her hit refresh but the old pages still show up. My guess is that AOL's servers are still looking at the old server and that it just hasn't propagated everywhere yet, but it's been almost a week now and that seems awfully odd to me. Any suggestions for how to solve the problem? Thanks! ~Lindsey
  14. Hi everyone - I've just sent my friend an email with explicit instructions (including screengrabs) on how to change the port to 26. If that doesn't work I'll have her switch to smtp.charter.net. (Side question: if we do need her to switch to the charter.net address, should she leave the port at 26? Or does it matter?) Thanks again for all your help and suggestions - I'm hoping this solves the problem, but at the very least, she's able to access the account through Mail2Web so we're a in a much better place now than before! I'll report back when I hear from her. Thanks! ~Lindsey
  15. Hmm, this looks like it could be the problem, but if it is, is there anything we can do on our end to workaround? Or do I need to have her contact Charter.net for the fix? ~L
