  1. Ahh, this is exactly what I wanted to hear! I will do as you advise, then. It might take some time as I am not set up with smugmug yet, but I'm very happy there is a way to have my domains hosted by TCH. Thanks, Dick!
  2. I do hope that nobody feels offended by my post. It was not meant to be offensive, I'm really looking for a good reason to stay with you and your excellent service. But, seeing as there are no replies so far, does that mean there is no point in staying with TCH?
  3. I registered a domain here at TCH because I have already 2 domains hosted here and, by the way, I'm a very satisfied customer. With this new domain I don't need any hosting, as I'm planning to get the hosting from smugsmug, specialised in photo sharing and selling. According to their help pages, I should ask my provider to put a cname record in the DNS to use my domain with the smugmug hosting. Now I realized that I have to use masking and forwarding to achieve this, and the cost for this is close to $40 a year. Am I right here? Godaddy.com offers free DNS record administration with a domain. Is there a good reason why I should not transfer my domain to godaddy for $8 and just add the cname record to their DNS servers?
  4. A mail that was sent by my php software (Moodle) came back to me with the following remarks: >>> This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: username@cwcom.net SMTP error from remote mailer after RCPT TO:<username@cwcom.net>: host mail.cwcom.net [212.187.213.75]: 553 Sorry. Your mail-relay has no reverse DNS, Please advise your ISP. <<< (I don't want to publish the complete address, so I changed the name to 'username') These mails are sent when a user creates a new account on my site. It has been working fine for others, so I think the user's SMTP host is picky. I tried to send the mail again via my mail client, but got the same result. What can I do to send mail to this address?
  5. Hmm, I realized that some people posted corrected versions of their entries. I've been using my own entry as a wallpaper, and I've been looking at it for nearly a month now. Of course I got some ideas how to make it better! By the way, the picture is 1280x1024. I can, of course, produce any resolution of it, but a simple resize will destroy the quality, ie the text won't look nice.
  6. Congratulations, you really did a nice jobe here! This is my personal favorite so far, including my own entry.
  7. BavariaSoft Originally intended as a software site, the site is about graphics and PSP. And it has a link to TCH. Thanks, Juergen
  8. Here is the wallpaper. I don't know if it uploaded already with the "post preview" - so just in case I'll post it here again.
  9. I'm just afraid to forget and miss the deadline - so here it goes. My page is: BavariaSoft
  10. Hi! Well I've got a wallpaper ready... How do I submit? Do I simply upload to the forum? And which format would be best? I've got it as a .jpg (224kb), .gif (705kb), and the standard wallpaper .bmp (3,75Mb). Thanks in advance, Juergen Uh, yes, and: TCH Rocks
