  1. I'm 54 and these ARE the good old days! Bob
  2. Howdy y'all! I'm a DJ in Second Life. I work with a children's charity, helping them raise money from the sim they rent. Currently, I am paying Shoutcast $16 a month for this pleasure. Is there a way i can stream music to Second Life using my website? Thanks, Bob
  3. Wait, you can REMOVE IE now? Cool! I thought it was part of the system like in earlier versions. I tried removing it from 95 an I had to reload windows. Bob
  4. Holocaust. Sorry, I'd just read a story about this. Bob

  6. Well. hmmm..... It's up. It runs. I did nothing extra to make it do so. Everything is the same as it was yesterday except that it now works. The pics are all in the wrong place but that's because of something I did wrong or something I neglected to do in Nvu. http://themorancanvas.com So, I'd have to say..... SCORE! Thanks, again! Bob
  7. Hi! I'm trying to set up a website for the company I work for. I've: Did several searches on this topic. Googled till I'm blue. Watched every semi-pertinent video I could Got all my files in the Public_Html folder Edited the .htaccess file so that it lists my main html file instead of index.htm Like so: DirectoryIndex TheMoranCanvas2.html Still, all I see is the index.htm stuff when i go to my website. What in the Wide World of Sports am I missing? As ususal, I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this. I'm also sorry for being so dang clueless. Thanks, Bob
  8. Thanks, guys! I'll give it a shot. Keep ya fingers crossed. Bob
  9. Hidy! I have been tasked with developing a website for our business. I am HTML impaired. I have tried the three picture hosting choices offered by TCH using my personal website. My people aren't happy with the look of those. What they want is a simple page with some general info and some thumbnails visitors can click on to look at large pics of our finished products and projects. I was looking at the stuff on the CoffeeCup website and was wondering if those things can be used here. I know that you get what you pay for but my budget is nil. Somehow, they've gotten the idea I can build one from scratch so that's what was budgeted. =( I tried to get them to buy a copy of Front Page but "That's too much money" was what I was told. Is there any other software in the Cheep n' Cheerful rack that will work here? I apologise if this is the wrong forum for this. Thanks, Bob
  10. Hi, I logged into my Invision powered board and clicked on a forum. This is the message I got: mySQL query error: SELECT DISTINCT(ibf_posts.author_id), ibf_topics.* FROM ibf_topics LEFT JOIN ibf_posts ON (ibf_topics.tid=ibf_posts.topic_id AND ibf_posts.author_id=1) WHERE ibf_topics.forum_id=6 and ibf_topics.approved=1 and (ibf_topics.pinned=1 or ibf_topics.last_post > 0) ORDER BY pinned DESC, last_post DESC LIMIT 0,15 mySQL error: Can't open file: 'ibf_posts.MYI' (errno: 145) mySQL error code: Date: Monday 29th of May 2006 08:51:55 PM This happens in both IE and Firefox. What do you think is wrong? Thanks, Bob
  11. Once you start getting comfy with Firefox, then you should get Thunderbird. Once installed, it can move all your settings and contacts from Outlook Express. Then and only then will you be really cured. Bob
  12. Hi, kids I would really like to use this software on themorancanvas.com. http://www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/ If it is possible to do so, how would I install it? I am ignorant of this stuff, so all help will be gleefully, joyfully accepted. Thanks, Bob

    Www

Nah, no worries. My site loads fine, everything works great. I did a little searching ON the www and you'd be suprised how many URLs don't really have the www in them. On a similar note, Microsoft scored an underachieving "B" http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/dnstime.ch?n...soft.com&type=A While the mighty TCH scored an A+. TCH WINS AGAIN!!!! Way to go, y'all! http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/dnstime.ch?n...ting.com&type=A Bob
  14. I am trying to upload pics to Coppermine but it's having no part of it. The message I get is: Warning: move_uploaded_file(./albums/edit/mHTTP_temp_384a83b9.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/*********/public_html/coppermine/upload.php on line 1197 Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/tmp/phpmqYWv4' to './albums/edit/mHTTP_temp_384a83b9.jpg' in /home/********/public_html/coppermine/upload.php on line 1197 Note: The ******** is where I deleted my username. I don't think Zone Alarm is the culprit. ZA will pop up a permission tab with annoying frequency but not a peep out of it when I tried to upload. What is the problem? Also, on my business account, I don't see Coppermine listed, am I just not seeing it? Bob
