  1. You can also set your theme up locally. Check out this tutorial for doing so: http://www.wpdesigner.com/2007/02/19/so-yo...ess-themes-huh/ If you follow the tutorial on making your very own template, it is a fantastic way to learn what all the Wordpress files and php lines truly mean. I went through the tutorial several times myself and learned more doing the tutorial than I was able to learn in the three years I have been working with Wordpress on my own.
  2. I am using the Equal Height Columns tutorial (http://www.positioniseverything.net/articles/onetruelayout/equalheight) to utilize faux columns on my site. Everything looks beautiful on the main page, but if you click out to any comments on the page, the page breaks (top of page disappears and footer goes on forever. My website is: http://www.lauralohr.com and an example of where the layout breaks is: http://www.lauralohr.com/wordpress/?p=492#comments. I added the clear fixes, etc. in the CSS, which fixed IE, but the Firefox thing is boggling my mind. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  3. I just created one of my very favorite themes I have made to date. The problem is that I am getting so many validation errors, it is making me bonkers. How it is SUPPOSED to look is: www.lauralohr.com/laura, except the nav bar/menu bar should be displaying UNDER the header image. I validated my live site: www.lauralohr.com down to 16 errors (WHOO HOO! Down from 41 errors!), but as you can see, the container, page, EVERYTHING is all messed up when I use valid code. So, two problems: 1. How do I validate the <ul> <li> </ul> </li> errors in the widgets. (I am clueless how to resolve this!) 2. How do I make the menu bar/nav bar display correctly. My CSS appears to be valid, except for a parsing error that I cannot figure out. Can anyone help? Your wisdom is greatly appreciated!
  4. AWESOME! I love the Tiga theme because of its flexibility and its complexity.
  5. I upgraded my site and my linkback was lost. I just updated the backlink. I had assumed since the link had been gone for a while my blog was no longer listed. My mistake. Sorry for the confusion!
  6. Please add my site back to the directory. I fixed the link. 1. http://www.lauralohr.com 2. Laura Lohr : My Beautiful Life 3. Stay-at-home mom, wife, runner, disgruntled. 4. * blog * personal nature 5. Link-back is in left sidebar. Thank you!
  7. Hi All, I recently upgraded my site and when I did, somehow I lost the little bit of code to link back to TCH. Could someone share that with me please? Thanks a lot!
  8. Holy cow! That did it! You guys are awesome. You fixed me right up! Thank you! Thank you!
  9. That totally helped. When I updated the theme, I just over-wrote my index.php, sidebar.php, and I think that left me without necessary updates. It pays to individually enter that manually.
  10. You guys around here have always come through for me when wordpress.org support has failed me. I hope you can come through for me again! I have my sidebars loading last on my front page. I did this in the index.php file and all is working well. The problem arises when you click on comments. The sidebars load FIRST when you go into a comment. Any ideas? Where do I make the change for that? Is that also in the index? Thank you in advance! Check out my site: www.lauralohr.com
  11. OHHHH! That would be great! I really do love Tiga! Thank you for letting me know!
  12. I have decided that it is just too much trouble to be so attached to the theme I am using. Time to start over
  13. Unfortunately, those errors have been there for a while. I changed the sidebar code for the wp_list_bookmarks tags and played with some CSS. I just cannot track down the cause of the posts being pushed so far down.
  14. I upgraded to Wordpress 2.1 from 2.0. I knew I was going to have a lot of problems because of the Links Manager being deprecated in favor of the annoying Blogroll. I have managed to do some tweaks to fix the format of my sidebar, but now my posts are pushed down the page. I know there is an extra or missing div somewhere and I have been dealing with this for so long, I am no longer objective. Would someone with fresh eyes tell me what is going on with my theme? I don't even know where to go next. http://www.lauralohr.com
  15. Tech support says it is not a server issue, but a coding issue.
