Of course, this might be nothing new to the "old hats" at web site creation, but it may help us relative "newbies"! I found it interesting that nothing was mentioned on this page about jpg's. TweezerMan Posted May 30, 2005 Share Posted May 30, 2005 One reason that jpg's may not have been mentioned is that jpg is a 'lossy' format - image data is lost in the saving/conversion to a jpg, and once it's gone it cannot be recovered. I think now that web browsers are getting "modernized" and they almost all support png it has become the standard of sorts. And as David said, JPG is lossy - save a jpg, open it and save it again - do that about 3 times and you have a mess instead of a graphic.
