  1. Hi everyone, I made another video— . I wrote the song back in 2001–2002 and decided to revisit it making a video on the way. Hope you'll enjoy it. Here's the original 2002 version of it.
  2. That's great! My brother used to work at a zoo (at the aviary and then the terrarium), and I used to hang out with him quite a bit. Later he and I worked together at a live reptile exhibit. Boy was it fun!
  3. Thank you, Bruce. Thank you, Bonnie. Oh, I see you in my Subscribers section. Neat sharks!
  4. It's Friday the 13th and I got my 2,000th hit today!
  5. Thank you Vivek! Thank you Andy! Thank you Stefan! I did quite a bit of post processing in iMovie to brighten up the picture. I lost some color on the way, so I had to compensate for that by tinting the entire image. Still, the output of the web cam is pretty noisy, and there isn't a whole lot you can do about it. I agree that the audio is important, but it would be great if along with pleasing the ear I could please the eye. I fed the bass into M-Audio's Ozonic audio interface and into Logic Pro. There I used Guitar Rig and Space Designer for processing. Then I bounced the track and did some post-processing in Peak. (YouTube overcompressed the audio quite a bit; I didn't know it would happen.) Thank you! I'm actually a "faux" bass player. My main instrument is the guitar (you can see its 7-string headstock behind me in the video). You're welcome, and I'm definitely planning to post more videos.
  6. Thank you! Yup, I saw you subscribed. I'm definitely going to put up more videos. Will take some time, though. It was a bit of a hassle to shoot with a web cam. Need a lot of light and that's still not enough.
  7. Thank you, guys! I'm glad you liked it.
  8. So, I finally came up with a video that I posted on YouTube. Prior to that I tested in on a few close friends. Almost all of them (96.4%) survived the testing, so I assume it is safe to expose the general public to it. Enjoy! P.S. Don't forget to link your friends to it, even if you don't like it.
  9. Oh, I wasn't referring to Horde. I was referring to email clients accessing mailboxes via IMAP. The folder structure has changed and all the mailboxes now reside in a single folder with the name of the email account. Email clients see it (in my case) as a folder called INBOX, so you need to tell this to your email client. It will create all the folders (or pick up the existing folders) within a single folder called INBOX (the actual name on the server is different). I'm sorry if this doesn't help you. I use a standalone email client, not Horde.
  10. I did. And . . . I figured out that in order for my setup to continue working I need to change the IMAP Path Prefix to INBOX on all my accounts on all my machines. D'oh . . . Hope this info will help other users, if they encounter similar problems.
  11. Oh guys, this is very . . . unexpected. My mail is a total mess now. Sent messages shows up as a mailbox inside my inbox and I can't create any new mailboxes (IMAP) The thing is I'm in the middle of a large project and don't have much time to spend setting up my mail again. I need to use it.
  12. Heh. That's how Nisus Writer is being developed: http://www.nisus.com/forum/viewforum.php?f...96166296051a234
  13. It's funny how Office (Word, in particular) is incapable of fulfilling two tasks: it's not a very good text processor and it's certainly one of the worst layout design apps. I never thought I could switch to using something else, however. But you know what? That was because I never tried. I'm a happy camper now. I use Nisus Writer Express for text processing (it's a brilliant app) and Pages for layout (although I rarely need any layout done). I haven't launched Office for a long, long time. Conclusion: there are viable alternatives to MS Office. You just have to try them.
