TCH-Bruce
I've been using the GMail Notifier add-on for Firefox for years. As of yesterday it has stopped working (would not login). A note on the developer's site said he has ceased development of the add-on. So does anyone have an alternative they are using? How do you like it? TCH-Bruce
He fixed it so never mind. If you are having the issue and using version 0.6.4.1 download the update (0.6.4.2) from the developer's site here.
OJB
I use GMail Manager instead.
TCH-Bruce
I tried that one a while ago. Don't know why I decided I like the notifier better. Maybe because GMail isn't my primary account and I just need to know when there's something there I might want to read.
OJB
Fair enough, not sure I ever tried GMail Notifier. I use GMail Manager with all my hosted accounts for my websites, so I have 7 accounts on it at work and get alerted when I get a new email on any of the accounts. carbonize
I'm currently using Webmail Manager since neither Gmail addon works with Firefox 4. BTW any one else find it annoying that you have to click on the quick reply twice?
carbonize
Just thought I'd see if any had been updated and I found this one which does not ask for your username and password and instead uses your cookie to login for extra security. Also the only one I have ever seen that will flash when you have new mail.
TCH-Bruce
Hey, that looks pretty good as well. I like the options it has too. I'll give it a try.
