Bob Crabb
Hello everyone -- I really hope that one of you is a Windows Server 2003 guru, and can help guide me in the right direction with this problem. We cannot connect to an ftp site from our network. I have tried using Core FTP Lite (which I use at home almost daily), and Filezilla. We do use a proxy in our network, and I have set the proper proxy name, password, port, etc, in the options of the FTP client. When I try to connect, I get a message: Resolving ftp.xxxxxx.net, via proxy (xxxxx)... Connect socket #428 to 192.168.100.100, port 8080 (to 21)... Can't establish connection --> ftp.xxxxxxx.net:21 @ Tue Sep 01 15:45:14 2009 (10060-19) A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. Any ideas? Thank you, BC Edited September 1, 2009 by Bob Crabb
TCH-Dick
The code 10060 is typically due to the connection timing out. Try enabling disabling pasv mode and increasing the network timeout settings in your ftp client.
Bob Crabb
Dick, Thanks for the suggestion. I left work before seeing your reply, and will try that tomorrow morning.
