  1. Yes, I must have some problem with IE6. I had better try to fix that. Thanks for the rescue!!
  2. I tried that. it never comes back when I click the commit button. Have to kill the IE window, in fact. I am trying to set it to 4031-- be sure to shake that can thoroughly!
  3. Wow, maybe I'm smarter than I thought NOT! Thanks again!
  4. Great! Thanks for your help! I have two more questions. 1) How can I I'm impatient so I violated the Forum Guidelines: Family Members may not bump threads. up my hit counter? I want to inlcude the old hit totals. I tried using the 'commit' part of the counter generator and that doesn't work... 2) I presume my Index page needs to be in the public_html directory, right? TIA, Eric
  5. SO far you guys have been great, helping me with some counter issues. I still seem to have one problem. From my office, when I type in my domain name (www.mc2rocketry.org) it goes to the new TCH site. From home, when I type in my domain name, I still seem to go to the old site. Does domain name and site info get cached on some provider's systems and not refereshed as often? Is there some other explanation? Thanks, Eric
  6. I couldn't find a 'mycounter.dat' file anywhere. So I tried creating the path referenced from my root (var/cpanel/Counters) and the file with permissions of 666. Still doesn't work. Can someone look at my site and figure out what is missing??
  7. I am still getting used to cpanel-- where can I check the file attributes?
  8. Hey, know I get a "unable to open mycounter.dat" message. Do the file attributes need to be changed to allow update? Almost there, Eric
  9. Hello, I am trying to use the 'counter' option on Cpanel. When I try to actually generate the code onscreen, that works. but when I try to save and finish, it just hangs and never finishes. How can I make it work? --Eric
