kajoiner
Can anyone suggest a free software that will monitor computer internet usage and will show what sites are being viewed? I have a computer set up on our home network for a teenager in the house, but I have not let him use it on the internet for fear of what he might be looking at (I make him use the one in the common area of the house where he is never alone with the computer). I do not want need to block service, but I want to track usage to keep him honest and away from trouble. I use to use one at work that was awesome! It was a packet sniffer I beleive and would show everything, but it cost about $1000 per copy at the time.
wampthing
www.x3watch.com This was a program suggested by Kim Komando. It doesnt block anything, It just is used for accountability. Its free. It tells you if there were any questionable sites visited, or if it was turned off.
