Head Guru
There were some major security holes found in Apache & PHP over the past few days. We were forced to push updates to all of our servers. Normally we would announce this several weeks in advance but we had no choice at this point. This was something we had to do and do quickly. Many hosting companies have had there servers hacked and or compromised in the past 24 hours. This simply was not a acceptable risk for us to take, therefore we had to push this update and push it fast. So its done... All servers have had the updates. The updates may have effected some of the web sites running phpnuke or other php programs and or scripts. You will need to consult with the vendor or programmer of the third party script for workarounds or fixes. Thanks for you support... Here is what we are running now- Module Latest Version Installed Version Apache Core 1.3.27 mod_log_bytes 1.0 mod_bwlimited 1.0 PHP 4.3.1 FrontPage 5.0.2.2510 mod_ssl 2.8.12 OpenSSL 0.9.6b

robok
Did you change PHP to be running in Safe Mode? I run Gallery and now get all kinds of permission errors. This was the specific reason I came to this host, I will be very upset if that is the case. I will research work arounds.
TCH-Rick
I'm running Gallery as well and it is working fine. Have you checked to see if the permissions on the various directories have been changed? Can you give a specific error message you are getting?

mtimmer
Could these updates be the reason that our subdomain heijkoop.werkgroep.net can't be reached? There's a database and some simple php-pages. I don't get errors, I just can't reach the subdomain anymore.
robok
I'm running Gallery as well and it is working fine. Have you checked to see if the permissions on the various directories have been changed? Can you give a specific error message you are getting? Thank you for confirming not safe mode. The error message is: Warning: fopen(/home/robok/public_html/albums/albumdb.dat.lock) [function.fopen]: failed to create stream: Permission denied in /home/robok/public_html/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 53 Error: Could not open lock file (/home/robok/public_html/albums/albumdb.dat.lock)! at the top of every page. Someone running a gallery with me has checked persmissions and thinks they are fine, I will double check. I did not mean to raise alarms -- am just sensitive on this topic. I have not changed any code or anything in well over a month and now it hits messages, so something on the TCH changed, but I have not yet figured out what. I will keep researching. thanks! Rob.
