I don't know if anyone else saw this, but it was mentioned on Slashdot with a better description pointing to a notice at Netcraft Basically ICANN is changing the policy on domain transfers effective on Friday Nov. 12th, where any transfer request that hasn't been responded to withing a 5 day period is automatically approved. The best advice given is that you make sure that your contact information for your domain is updated and, if available, your domain is locked.
