  1. Not sure if this would help but what the heck sNews has a CAPTCHA that uses a (as an example) 1+1= (then the user would have to enter the correct number) http://www.solucija.com/home/snews/ Maybe you could check out the code and see how it's done.
  2. I know I'll have to open a ticket for this, but I want to reset my account to the day I received it. I'm not sure what to ask. I did a search and found to ask for "request to have the account reprovisioned" is that what I ask for? I don't care about email, database and etc... that may be there. Thanks Greg
  3. Thanks She paid $75 for restore.
  4. Simple question. I moderate at a forum for a software biz. This person didn't apply the latest security patch. She said her host charged her a bit of $$$ to restore her site from their backup. Does tch charge for this (to restore a backup) I was going to suggest she get a new host. But I'm going to take a wild guess that tch doesn't charge for this? Hope that makes sense. Thanks Greg
  5. Well, I was one of the eight. So this will be watched.
  6. bellringr This doesn't look right. You may want to correct your code a bit. (see below) ><body> <table width="98%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td width="60%" valign="top"><img src="images/logo_brown_500final.jpg" width="434" height="340"></td> <td width="40%" valign="middle"><div align="center"> <p> <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <title>Menu</title> </head> <body> <p><img src="images/btn_home.jpg" width="134" height="47"></p> <p><img src="images/btn_directions.jpg" width="134" height="47"></p> <p><img src="images/btn_products.jpg" width="134" height="47"></p> <p><img src="images/btn_schedule.jpg" width="134" height="47"></p> <p><img src="images/btn_who.jpg" width="134" height="47"></p> </body> </html>
  7. Mel I'm in San Jose and it loads fine for me.
  8. Thank You Jim Yeah I was aware of the bandwidth savings, just wanted to double check in regards to the server load. Using a small bit of code and adding 2 lines to the .htaccess file gave a reduction of 75%, lighting fast too. Thanks again Greg
  9. Hi folks What are the pros and cons of the using gzip? I know it reduces bandwidth, but I've read that it slows down the servers (higher load)? So what is TCH feelings on using it on a shared host account. Thanks Greg
  10. I had the problem with the mouse and keyboard freezing (locking up) and came to the conclusion the computer was overheating. Happened whenever the room temp was high, such as summer. Pulled side panel off and just clamped a small fan about 2 feet from the computer and that did the trick. Greg
  11. oswd.org doesn't update that often anymore. So you may also want to try: http://www.openwebdesign.org/ They have the same templates but the site is updated more often. Greg
  12. Here's a couple of more places. http://projects.sublink.ca/sweetie/ http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/
