Maybe its custom computers, scripting, classic cars, model airplanes, Bass Fishing, skydiving or whatever. Post a photo or open a post just chatting about your hobbies. abinidi
My favorite hobby is geocaching. We use a GPS unit to find "caches" left by other geocachers. It is a great hobby that gets us up and into the montains or out into parks where we would never go. It is a really cool blend of technology (for the geek in me) and nature (for the outdoors enthusiast in me). More information on Geocaching. (BTW - I'm not affiliated in any way with geocaching.com; just a happy member.)
woodygap
Yes, I remember golf I think. My old hobbies have now turned into participating in my kids school and sports activities. My daughter (14) is involved in softball now through October. She plays on the school teams and on an ASA team hoping to make it to nationals in Oklahoma. My son (13) is a two sport (basketball and baseball) junkie. They both get great grades and are always busy so I guess it's all good. I just drive the short bus around. Actually, I do get to golf occasionally and go deer and elk hunting in the fall (never actually successful at hunting, mostly the camaraderie and being outdoors) and trout fishing in the summertime. Another hobby that has been on the back burner lately is genealogy research. Whew, didn't realize I was so boring. Thanks for the thread Bill

It's only a little bit more than other GPS units, but the basemap feature is really cool, and 8MB of memory is perfect for the beginning geocacher. Geocaching is a fantastic family activity! I highly recommend it!! -Paul

MikeJ
A lot of my hobbies revolve around computers, but when I manage to tear myself away, some of my others include: Cycling: Paintball: And assuming things go as planned, hopefully my father and I will get to finishing restoring his corvette from this: Back to it's original configuration which we believe so far to be this:
kellybellydotnet
Photography. Not only taking photos, but I develop black and white at home. Then I spend some time to scan them and either post them on my websites or on photography-based message boards. I also like to experiment with photography. I have quite a few hybrid cameras, and most of them have had some sort of modification done. I guess you can say that I also collect cameras, since I have over two dozen of them. Geekery. A generic hobby, I guess. I like electronic gadgets and spend a lot of time either playing around with them or reading about them.

Head Guru
My favorite hobby is for sure sport bikes. I cant seem to convince my son that sport bikes rule the road, as you can see in the following photo of my son and I, he seems to think "hogs" are the ruler of all that are bikes. Boy does he have a lot to learn. In case your wondering: My bike is a Suzuki Hayabusa GSX-1300R. Billy's bike is a Ground Hog. They are made right here in Michigan. Ninepatch
I'm fortunate now to have the time to really pursue some of my lifelong passions - cooking for my friends, sewing, quilting hiking and gardening. But, if I had to identify a hobby it would be learning to grow roses and learning the art of digital photography. There are a lot of things I miss about my old 35mm & 2 1/4. This is my first fully-bloomed hybrid tea rose, Mr. Lincoln, which has a fragrance that is wonderful. It smells the way a rose should - that doesn't happen with all varieties anymore. It's actually a deep blood red - so you can see I have a ways to go with digital photography.

Head Guru
I was just browsing thru this page and realized I had forgotten my true love of Bass Fishing. I love it for many reasons, but here are just a few. The fog as it lifts off the water at the 5:30am launch. The look on my sons face when he boats the one that didn't get away. The feeling I get when I weigh the largest bag of the day. Taking 1st place in a tournament and actually paying for the gas from the winnings. The smell of the outboard motor and the warm coffee. I am glad spring is here! My son in all his glory. Taken from a small lake last year. He loves to fish.
