Joomla Database

Hallo mensen,

dan krijg ik de volgende foutmelding A database error occurred: Access denied for user to database SQL=CREATE DATABASE

HELP MIJ !!!!

Welcome to the forums realturkey :)

hostname - localhost

MySQL username - cpanelname_username

MySQL password - The password you set in cpanel

MySQL Database name - cpanelname_dbname

MySQL table prefix - you can leave this as the default

Where cpanelname is your cpanel username ( the one you use to login to cpanel). I assume you have already created the database in cpanel, and created a user. You also need to make sure you added the user to the database ( again in cpanel )

If I have misunderstood your question, my apologies, but my knowledge of the Nederlands language is limited to buying a drink - and guessing my way through a menu ;)

You underestimate your knowledge of the Dutch language.

To check everything again,

1. the username is the name i gave to the database

2. password is the password i gave to the database?

3. database name is the name i gave as the database username?

i filled this in together with the cpanelname. as you said. Then my answer is i got the incorrect password and username?

does every domain need an own database? Because i already have a database(did not do anything with it yet) for another domain. Could that be the problem?

Each domain will have it's own database(s) yes. But I think you have your 1 and 3 reversed there.

1. The username is the user you added to the database (cpanelname_database-user).

2. The password of the user that was added to the database.

3. The database is the name of the database you created (cpanelname_database-name).
