  1. Is there a way to determine which php (ie suPHP) is running? I want to know if my server is running suPHP? I have looked in cpanel. It does tell me version 5.xxx etc but how do I find out what kind of php? thanks in advance.
  2. PS I am really thankful that TCH has this feature cause it REALLY came in handie. thanks. looks like it restored files. I did nothing with the database though.
  3. an update: sometimes I get impatient (sp?) - I clicked the refresh button in the top left corner of the page. note this is not the browser refresh, this is a button next to the browse button. the page refreshed then it - went to history, - and one progress bar stopped 'rolling' - and now I notice started and finished fields have a date and time. but - the other progress bar is still rolling - the log, at the bottom, still says the same thing the time difference between start and finish is 7min. seems about right. I checked my site - initial look seems like it did the restore like it was supposed too. not thoughly checked yet .... .. R1 needs an interface touch up, or is it just me??
  4. I am attempting to restore from 2 days ago. The progress bar has been going for more than two hours now. I wouldn't guess it would take that long. The files size is less than 183 MB that are being restored. I read the documentation on R1. pretty logical, not much there. the last message is starting task for host ...... This is the first time I have tried to use this feature. Anybody else have issues? Any thing I missed? Regards Getitdone
  5. better late than never. yes, that worked great. thanks alex.
  6. I don't see that in mine. I see print view and propose table structure. propose table structure does not let you do anything. I post cause I have the same question.
  7. I don't have my PHP set so that 'session save path' is defined. I am using joomla and it is reporting Session Save Path: None What is the best way to fix this? I did a search on joomla's forums but got the idea it is more a host issue. so possible that I have not set something up correct. any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. If I wanted to suggest TCH get a particiular feature where would I post that?
  9. I am trying to make sure the database is working, cause the program is not. so I have done abit of php but still a newbie (I guess ). In the test.php file I have tried include, require, and just deleting the whole line. All give me errors. ><?php require 'db.php'; $db=DB::connect(my database info); if (DB::isError($db)) {echo ($db->getmessage());} ?> it comes back with this error Warning: require(db.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/domain/public_html/test.php on line 2 Warning: require(db.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/domain/public_html/test.php on line 2 Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'db.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/domain/public_html/test.php on line 2 Is the pear DB available to us? Are there any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
  10. usually I am just a lurker. . . but .. If it's going to be a day or two I would forward the domain to tch, cause it sometimes take a bit to update all the nameservers. If it is going to be abit, which it sounds like might be the case, I would leave it parked at godaddy. As far as WP question - plug-ins are fine. take into account I am not an expert. and I have not played with WP yet. the other questions are for somebody else. hopes it helps a tiny bit.
  11. hello I am new also so take with a tiny grain - is there a reason that you are installing 1.5? I am using gallery 2.
  12. only replying here for future reference in case others are reading this -- when installing joomla for example in Fantastico. to setup joomla it does ask you for some database info that you do have to type in. it is not total automated. (maybe )) and that part is not real user friendly either. I found create the database and user name, then read what the name is, cause it's not what you typed, then type that into joomla setup. I am updating mine tomorrow, let you guys know if I have problems or ideas.
  13. ok here's a question (or two) 1. hotscripts (not sure at the moment is it .com) has a bunch of smaller scripts. is there a way to have some of these auto install like fantastico? 1.5 are the scritps at hotscripts usually pretty good in everybody experience? (safe, no bugs, works well, etc) 2. after reading the forums a bit - some people have said they don't like fantastico cause it's a big way for hackers to run their scripts through holes after installation etc. am I all green and purple here? I don't see any thing about 'make sure you update your scripts after installing' . . .. . I am a newbie, thus probably a newbie question. thnaks -just get it done. (if this should be posted in scripts please move it there)
  14. thanks for the preview. I was going to ask, but here it is. thanks for all the hard work !
