Patricia
I just found this great tool that allows people to create an email account for 24 hours if you want to check out a website which you think is questionable and don't know if they will use your information or not.. obviously you will want to use your real information if you want to continue to get feedback from that website. and for places deemed trustworthy. but i see it being a useful tool. here it is pookmail

TCH-Bruce
You can create disposible email accounts with an email forward in cpanel. You just create the email forward for anything you want and have it direct the mail to a real account. When you are done with it delete the forward. No more mail. Deverill
What Bruce said. I've been using this method for awhile now and it works great! It's easy to do (Cpanel - email - forwarders - name@mytchdomain.com forwards to name@myotheremailplace) and takes about 30 seconds to set up. Ending the spam takes about 15 seconds so it's a very effective tool this kind of account setup allows us. I even have a few "I expect some spam but not too much" addresses (like "generic") that I use for multiple "I don't care in the long run" websites. When they get to sending too much to me I just dump them and take out a bunch of sites at once. I also have one called spam@mytchdomain.com that I use for sites I expect to spam me. I'll forward to a real address while waiting for registration passwords to come through and then as soon as I get what I'm expecting I can turn it right back to :fail: which bounces the emails. Edit: You can't set a forwarder to :fail: - I misspoke. You can, however, remove the forward and if your default address is set to :fail: it has this effect.
