Many Thanks - read the other posts and problem now solved as regards PHP security issue. Will raise support ticket for the other issue with CHMOD. Just out of interest - are there any plans by TCH to somehow allow us Joomla users the right to change ownership?? Regards Mark J

I have just upgraded my Joomla installation to latest version and need to edit the php.ini file but cant find it anywhere via ftp. This is a security issue and need to edit the globals line to secure the site. Where is the php.ini file and do I have access to it.?? Secondly I have installed modules in Joomla that work fine but I cannot change the ownership of them via CHMOD as these are installed automatically by the Joomla software and are shown as belonging to "nobody (99) - how do I change permissions on such files?? I appreciate that this is not a Joomla forum but the issue is related to cpanel etc etc and not Joomla itself. I have tried to change these files via cpanel but no joy. thanks Hapless

Hi Guys - just a mad thought about this subject - what about a graphic linked to a small audio file that "talks" your mail address. appreciate this would be useless if people didnt have speakers/headphones but most do - I think!! (for displaying addys on websites) Hapless

Hi, Just bought a domain name and a hosting package but as yet have no login/cpanel details and I dont know if I have done everything correctly. This is the second hosting package that I have purchased - the first one used a "transferred domain name" and all is well. When I signed up I inserted the domain name I had purchased from TCH in the relevent box - does this then attach the domain name automatically to the hosting package and how long does it take to get the login/password details sent out?? :Nerd: Just took out a package with TCH and impressed with the facilities. I purchased the plan without a domain name as I already have one registered/Hosted with 123-reg I have entered the name server details with my old host company - is this all I need to do to begin using TCH mail and webspace after the required propogation time or do I need to transfer anything else??? Be patient with me - I'm a virgin!! Hapless
