How Can You Tell If Your Site Has Been Hacked?

Recommended Posts

First of all your site is effected by the server move.

Your a server8 client.

I will let the gang here help you the rest of the way.

EXIM is the mail server, it was stopped on the old server8, and I have just restarted it.

As HeadGuru said you are a server 8 client which means we were moving your server this morning, please check this thread for more information on that:

http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...=30entry20871

Now that could be the problem. I also heard mentioned that you have been enabling and disabling hotlink protection. I know several people have had problems with hotlink protection so take a look for the .htaccess file and I belive this is the code it puts in for hotlink protection:

>RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www\.)?****/.*$ [NC]
RewriteRule \.(gif|jpg)$ - [F]

Somebody be sure to correct me if I'm wrong! :o Hopefully that should clear it up if that is the problem.

Now thirdly, I noticed that your names of the images are capped, which will also cause you problems. All paths, files, and everyting else should be lower-cased on your account. Please check this thread from the FAQ and How-To's sections:

Now you at least have a few things to try out, and a few more explainations for what might have happened. Hope it all works out for the best! Thumbs Up

Your site is being moved to a new server in a new location. Once the site is moved, everything should be fine.....but it may be a little shaky in the interim. It will be worth the little bit of inconvenience though once you see how your site runs on the new server.

You should have received an e-mail regarding the move. Hope this helps

Please realize that you may have been making changes on your site on the old server. At this point, it would be best not to make any changes to your site until everything is complete in the move and you are seeing the site on the new server.
