Shared Hosting Sales Question

Hello, I am Pooja, from Mumbai, India.
I don't know, whether this is the right section to post on not, but I have got one question related to Shared Hosting Package.

One friend of mine is running an education website **redacted** she is a teacher and want to know a good but shared hosting provider. She asked me to help to get one and transfer this website to new servers. I have heard good things about TotalChoice Hosting, so I planned to move here.

Now my question is can I get a dedicated IP address and SSL certificate with Shared Hosting? And what about the successful transfer of files and database.
If yes then how much it costs extra?

Please help,
Regards,
Pooja.

Welcome to the forum, Pooja. :)

This would not work using the shared hosting plans. You or your friend would need to get a deicated server for the dedicated ip. This also goes for using your own SSL certificate.

For info on SSL, please see: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/faq/support-ssl.html

and for info regarding dedicated server: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/dedicated.html

Welcome to the forums :)

Let me clear a few points than Thomas answered in general terms.

Dedicated IP and SSL certificate will work fine on any shared hosting plans - and you really do not need to go for a dedicated server for that purpose. You can choose any shared hosting plans from http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/shared.html

Once the hosting account is activated, please submit a ticket to the help desk in order to move your account to a dedicated IP and to install the SSL certificate.

If the current hosting account is on a cPanel based server, you just need to submit a ticket to the help desk - so that we can transfer the existing contents to the new account on our server. If the current hosting account is not on a cPanel based server, you just need to manually upload the contents using any FTP software.
