bitfhacker
Hi! I have some questions about VPS hosting: Can I have a linux distro in VPS hosting? If yes: what distros are available? SSH access is allowed? How does this type of hosting works? When I buy a VPS account, I select a distro from a list of distros? All OS and software updates are made by the user? Thanks, Bitfhacker
TCH-Bala
Can I have a linux distro in VPS hosting? Yes, you can have linux distro for VPS. what distros are available? We can do any distro you want, the existing clients are all CentOS plus a few on ubuntu. SSH access is allowed? Yes, SSH access is allowed. How does this type of hosting works? It works as any other dedicated server plans. If you can let me know in detail what your specific concerns are regarding this, I will be happy to explain it more. When I buy a VPS account, I select a distro from a list of distros? If you plan to use CentOS, yes. For a different OS, please open a ticket to our support department so that we can assist you personally. All OS and software updates are made by the user? TotalVPS Starter is a non-cpanel unmanaged plan which the user will have to maintain and update. All other plans are cpanel based CentOS servers which are fully manged. Let me know if you have further questions.
