I am currently looking for some tutorials so in my spare time I can learn more but when you type PHP Tutorials into google you get hammered with a lot of results. I was just wondering if anyone had used any that they would recommend as being easy-to-understand or helpful in anyway?

Access: FTP

FTP Host: basilweb.net (my domain)

Host directory: public_html/

Login: the supplied login that came with the email

Password: the supplied password that came with my email

I hit the "Test" button, and Dreamweaver tells me that "Dreamweaver connected to my host server successfully."

When I try to "put" my files there using the "put" button, or by using the "connect" button, it looks as though it connects, but then it says "waiting for server" and times out after a couple minutes telling me that I lost my connection.

Any clues or hints?

1. Teamspeak. we used a web based real time talk program to communicate on the virtual battlefield and have found out I can have the TS panel on the site so players can see who all else is playing when they log into the website, but I cannot seem to find how to create a new block to show it.

2. Donations via paypal. The guys and girls want to support our website and gaming server thru donations and I want to make them a panel so that they can do it.

But I want to have a PHP photo Album. Can someone write me a tep by step tut on what to upload into what folder, and what to write, and how to setup a simple album. I want an album that shows thumbnails, and then if people want a bigger full size pic, they can click on the thumbnail.

I know you have a tutorial to install Coppermine, but would it be possible to make a tutorial to do an upgrade??

A friend is trying to upgrade her Coppermine, but is running into problems. She doesn't want to upload the .zip file to the server and then unpack it, as she think it would then overwrite all the files and the 'Albums' folder. She is very good at reading instructions, but sometimes there not very clear.

I understand if this isn't possible.

the tutorial has a few errors, though the one in the Tutorials section looks better.

In Step 3, the 'includes' folder should be on a seperate line.

also, the itemized list numbering is a bit wonky - 1 2 3 4, 2 3 4 5 6

and why is Step 3 #5 talking about a blog?

If somebody knows where it is at, please let me know.

I have PHP-Nuke (6.8 I think) installed. I won't even try updating to 7.4 or 7.5 because I'm not smart enough for that. To start getting more from my site, is there a tutorial here for PHP-Nuke? If not, then I would like to suggest one.

It is a bit reassuring to the unsuspecting to see the immense contributions within a family such as TCH forum. As one reads through these threads, one asks if there could be a sample site visually displaying all or most of the examples shared in this forum to serve as one's starting point from which to build?

Is that Possible? Think of how much more rapidly the development of those webmaster wannabes would be? Would it also further differentiate TCH from the pack? I believe it would, TCH has already taken a giant leap by merely starting this forum....... Rock Sign

All clients should post their finished tutorials in Client Written Tutorials and once a tutorial has been written it's time to move on to the next request!

Now why would clients want to write tutorials? Other than knowing that you're being helpful to your family members it also looks good to the judges when we're trying to figure out the next Member of the Month! Doesn't guarantee your spot but it couldn't hurt.

The last note I want to make on this subject is lets keep the tutorials and tutorial requests related in some way to web hosting as well.
